Tanzania Kakoi Project aired on Australian National Television

Late last year we were thrilled when a group of 12 travellers completed a community project in the Tanzanian village of Kakoi. Working alongside the Masai from the community they lay 6kms of water pipeline from a water source to the community medical centre bringing clean running water to the centre for the first time! One of the participants, Laura Ardley from NSW, was lucky to win her place on the trip in a competition that was run by Australian Super through the television program ‘The Voice’. As a result film crew from the Nine Network travelled to Tanzania at the same time and filmed some of the project work. Here’s the fantastic footage they took:

Inspired to make a difference? We have another water pipeline project planned for the village of Kakoi in November 2013 … this time we’ll bring clean water to the school. Learn more here.
