Vietnam: Xom Van School Upgrade

Report_During-constructionYear: 2007

Achievements: Built a new classroom for the care of the young children in the remote Mai Chau village of Xo. Typhoon Lekima hit the area a few weeks before our participants arrived, meaning that the village was cut off from roads and delaying the project equipment arriving on time. Because of this the project was delayed and it was not 100% complete by the time the participants had to leave the village. The classroom renovations were finished by the local community in the week that followed.

Impact: The renovation work to the classrooms ensures that the children will have a clean and sturdy kindergarten in which to learn and be cared for.
